Roero: Less Famous, but No Less Beloved
North of the famous vineyards of Barolo and Barbaresco, on the left bank of the Tanaro River, lies Roero, where refined Nebbiolos are also produced. Due to the sandy soils of the region, these wines are less tannic and therefore more approachable. In addition, wonderfully fresh white wines are made from the Arneis grape.
